Served previously as Cardax Associate Director, Chemistry. Dr. Jackson directed the synthetic development of novel xanthophyll derivatives at Cardax as Associate Director, Discovery Chemistry. Prior to joining Cardax as a Senior Scientist, Dr. Jackson was a Research Scientist in the chemistry group at Hawaii Biotech, and a Research Associate in medicinal chemistry at Molecumetics, Ltd. in Bellevue, WA. Dr. Jackson earned a Bachelor of Arts (1996) in chemistry from Rice University and M.S. and Ph.D degrees in chemistry from the University of Washington at Seattle (2002). Dr. Jackson is an author of 7 scientific publications and is an inventor on multiple patents and patent applications.
